Hi, I'm Danielle. For over 20 years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse consulting for medical device and pharmaceutical companies. Gardening has become a refuge for me—especially in today's fast-paced, digital world. While many people turn to yoga or meditation to relax, I find peace in the soil. Gardening allows me to slow down, be fully present, and connect with nature. It’s my form of mindfulness, where I can focus on one task and find joy in the simple act of nurturing plants and harvesting delicious food that I grew all by myself. Youu might be wondering about the name "Maggie’s Farm." For 13 years, I shared my life with a wonderful Scottish Terrier named Maggie Mae. She brought so much love and joy to my world. When I built my first raised garden bed, I named it in her honor. At the time, it was a small, humble garden made of cinder blocks and cedar fence boards. I’d often joke with friends and family, saying, “Oh, that came from Maggie’s farm.” Now, my garden has grown into something much bigger, but I like to think I’ve made Maggie proud. Having helped countless friends and family create their own gardens, I realized I could combine my love for gardening with my consulting and nursing experience.
